Ugly At First

I have been around long enough to recognize a particular pattern with life. Beginnings are crazy and ugly at first. When you begin a new journey the first step is awkward. You are just starting that business, changing a habit, moving to a new place, studying, starting a relation or seeking spirituality and the kind of results you want do not come that first. Then you get frustrated since all indicators point you to an ultimate failure. But that is not a cue for you to quit. At the initial stages whatever you embark on seems uncertain, rough, scary, and unpopular with your family or friends. People will ask you why are you doing this or that, folks will call you all sorts of names, some will think you are broke and broken and to chose to deliberately ignore all the noise and keep working on the areas you can influence is a game changer. You become a different being when you are able to sail with the wind and still get to your shore. It is a concept you need to learn and grasp fast before you begin anything. Whatever you do it will not look like what you dreamed of. You will begin in the dirt in spite of your dream to reach the stars. When you are confident of how a beginning looks like, it will no longer be an obstacle in your path. You will look at it from a point of opportunity and not a threat. Do not fear starting from the bottom. You are allowed to begin with Microsoft publisher (used for illustration) but do not accept to remain at that level.
